This event is a tribute to the men and women who serve our country. The event is coordinated by the Westmont Park District. Supporting organizations include People’s Resource Center, Westmont Lions Club, Westmont Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau, Westmont High School, Oakwood Homeowner’s Association & the Village of Westmont.
Details are currently being worked out so we can provide you with both an in-person and virtual 5K option. Please check back for updates as they become available.

INCLEMENT Weather Policy
Westmont Fire Department and Police Department personnel will be on site and in communication with Race Director and Race Committee members. In case of inclement weather, the Westmont Junior High and High Schools on Oakwood Dr. will be used for shelter; participants can also go to their vehicles. The race will only be cancelled if weather conditions are deemed unsafe by the Westmont Fire & Police Department personnel.
Medals / Awards
The course will be opened by Public Works following the last participants. The Finish line cut off will be after the last participant crosses the Finish Line or at 9:45am whichever comes first. The medal ceremony will follow.
Medals will be passed out near the registration tent. The top 3 overall for each gender are gun timed while the age divisions are chip timed. Medals will be awarded for overall male and female winner. First, second and third place medals will be awarded to both male and female in the following age groups:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24,25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 & above.
Medals not picked up on race day, can be picked up until July 1st at the Westmont Community Center, 75 E. Richmond St. Westmont, IL 60559.
